Password Page
The password template is displayed when your store is password-protected (not yet launched or in maintenance mode). It provides a branded landing page with a password entry form.
Default Layout
The password page includes:
- Store logo or name
- Customizable heading and message
- Password entry form
- “Enter using password” toggle
- Optional email signup for launch notifications
When It Appears
The password page is shown when:
- Your store has not been launched yet (still in setup)
- You have manually enabled password protection in Online Store > Preferences
Customization
Customize the password page in the theme editor:
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Use the page selector dropdown at the top to switch to the Password page.
- Edit the heading, message, background, and color scheme.
Tips
- Use this page to build anticipation before your store launch.
- Add an email signup block to collect emails from interested visitors.
- Once you remove the password (by launching your store or disabling it in Preferences), this page is no longer shown.
